In the fall of 2016, scientists pronounced the Great Barrier Reef Dead. An obituary written by Rowan Jacobsen was dedicated to the Reef, and I was inspired by this to make a prayer card for it.
What started as a project to create prayer cards for corals blossomed into a full obsession with illustrating their forms, and these are the results of that obsession.
